Born in the city of Nakhchivan, Yusif Huseyn Mammadov acted as Vice President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation since 2013 and was one of the most esteemed active international referees. 

As a sports enthusiast who engaged in many disciplines such as wrestling and judo, Mr. Mammodov was a strong advocate of Karate in his country. After nearly 40 years of practice of Karate, Mr. Mammadov held the 7th- Dan Black Belt and was highly respected among the Azerbaijan Karate family now mourning his loss.
