A SPORT FOR ALL

The Karate athletes are embarking on a new journey into the governance of our sport with the constitution of the Athletes Commission. The Athletes Commission is the official international unified voice for karatekas to help in the progess of our sport. With the Chairman of the WKF Athletes Commission as a full voting member of the WKF executive board and with the responsibility to advise Council on matters relevant to athletes, karatekas have a means to have an input into the governing of our sport.

Additionally, the purpose of the WKF AC is manyfold. Firstly, the commission aims to broaden the communication within the WKF family. Secondly, to represent athletes in all the areas of WKF influence and governance. Thirdly, to foster increased active participation of athletes in the structure of WKF family.

Ultimately, the WKF Athletes Commission works to try find solutions for their continuity of athletes' life after their sporting carrer.
