The big celebration of Youth Karate starts on Monday in Croatian city of Umag, where over a thousand young Karatekas will gather in an anticipated and historic event. The WKF Youth Training Camp & Karate 1 Youth Cup will showcase the impressive influence of Karate among youngsters in a week to remember.

The big celebration of Youth Karate starts on Monday in Umag (Croatia), where over a thousand young Karatekas will gather in an anticipated and historic event. The WKF Youth Training Camp & Karate 1 Youth Cup will showcase the impressive influence of Karate among youngsters in a week to remember.

No less than 1247 participants are making their way to the idyllic coastal city in Istria to live seven unforgettable days. The world of Karate is setting its eyes on the Croatian city as representatives from 56 countries will participate in the event. Hundreds of dojos around the world are being filled this week with joy and hopes of their youngest members who are getting ready to experience the best Karate moments of their short lives; Over two hundred clubs from five continents will participate in Umag in yet another representation of the outstanding magnitude of the event.

The relevance of the ninth edition of the WKF Youth Training Camp & Karate 1 Youth Cup is especially prominent among the youngest participants. For the first time, the Camp and Cup have been opened to Karatekas under 14 years, thus stating the impact of Karate in children all over the world. As a demonstration of this influence, 450 athletes under 14 years old are registered in Umag.

The WKF Youth Training Camp & Karate 1 Youth Cup begins on Monday with the arrival of delegations and Camp registration. The practices start on Tuesday as the first three days of the event are devoted to the training camp. The WKF Karate 1 Youth Cup will register its participants on Thursday as the first competition will take place on Friday. The event will finish on Sunday.

The six Karate legends to act as instructors in the event are also making their way to Umag thus sSharing the same enthusiasm as the young participants and hoping to live days to remember. World champions and Karate heroes Rika Usami, Luca Valdesi, Rafael Aghayev, Douglas Brose, Predrag Stojadinov and Davide Benetello will arrive in the Croatia city with bags packed with experiences and knowledge ready to be shared with the hopeful youngsters.
