WKF President Antonio Espinós visited Coca-Cola Arena sports hall during his travel to Dubai (UAE) last week. The head of Karate’s international governing body was impressed by the venue to host the 2020 World Senior Championships.

Dubai (UAE) will welcome the 25th edition of Karate World Senior Championships from November 17 to 22, 2020. The anticipated event will take place at Coca-Cola Arena sports hall in the Emirate city.
Inaugurated in June 2019, Coca-Cola Arena is an ultra-modern, state-of-the-art hall with capacity for 17,000 spectators. The multi-event arena is considered one of the most technologically advanced venues in the world, and It is the first fully air-conditioned stadium of its kind in the Middle East.
During his tour, President Antonio Espinós examined all the premises and was astounded by the magnificence of the venue. Mr Espinós visited Coca-Cola Arena together with the Executive Committee of the Asian Karate Federation (AKF) on the eve of the meeting of AKF’s governing body in Dubai.
“Coca-Cola Arena is the ideal place to host a great event such as Karate’s Senior World Championships. I am sure this venue will be the perfect stage to showcase the best of our sport, and I am convinced that athletes, fans, sponsors and media alike will enjoy a historic tournament next year here in Dubai,” said WKF President.
