WKF President meets ISSF president in Konya
WKF President Antonio Espinós met Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) President HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal Al-Saud on Wednesday. The meeting was held on the eve of the start of the Karate competition of the 2022 Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya (Turkey).
The development of Karate in Islamic countries and the popularity of Karate at the Islamic Solidarity Games were among the topics on the agenda. Karate is considered one of the leading sports on the programme of the multi-sport event and has been a common fixture since the inception of the event in 2005.
ISSF President HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal Al-Saud, who is also Saudi Arabia’s Sports Minister, the head of the Saudi Arabia Olympic Committee, and President of the Arab Olympic Committees praised Karate’s progress and thanked Mr Espinós for supporting the event.
