WKF President attends Balkan Karate Federation meetings

WKF and EKF President Antonio Espinós headed the meetings of the Executive Committee and the General Assembly of the Balkan Karate Federation. The gatherings were held on the eve of the 21st Balkan Senior Karate Championships which are held in Cacak (Serbia) from April 26 to 27.

The stakeholders of the Balkan Karate Federation met on Thursday to discuss the future of the sport on the region. The allocation of upcoming events and the actions to further develop Karate in the Balkans were also discussed. The meetings were directed by KFB president Esat Delihasan and Secretary General Slavoljub Piper, and had the participation of nine Balkan countries including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Romania, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Turkey. 

“The Balkan Karate Federation is implementing a successful strategy to further extend the progress of the sport in their area of influence. We could attest and celebrate the expansion of Karate in Balkan countries in the meetings today,” said WKF and EKF President Antonio Espinós. 

“I am sure that the Balkan Karate Federation will continue helping the Karate family to maximise our efforts to take our sport to new heights. Also, their contribution is crucial to succeed in the challenges that Karate is currently facing,” added Mr Espinós.
