WKF President Antonio Espinós Meets with Karate India Organisation President Bharat Sharma in Madrid

The World Karate Federation (WKF) President Antonio Espinós welcomed Bharat Sharma, President of the Karate India Organisation (KIO) to the WKF headquarters in Madrid. This significant meeting marks a pivotal step in strengthening the ties between the WKF and KIO, focusing on the future of karate in India.

During their meeting, Mr. Espinós and Mr. Sharma, who is also a member of the AKF Executive Committee and President of the South Asia Karate Federation, discussed the remarkable progress of karate in India and explored opportunities for increasing the presence of Indian karate athletes at top WKF events. Both leaders emphasised the importance of enhancing the structures and support systems for karate in India to elevate the sport's popularity and success.

 

WKF President Antonio Espinós said after the meeting:
