WKF hosts Olympic Solidarity Karate course in Armenia
An Olympic Solidarity Karate course was held in Armenia to continue the progress of the sport in the country.
Imparted by WKF Instructor and 9th-dan Karate master Antonio Oliva and organised by the WKF in cooperation with the Armenian Karate Federation and Olympic Solidarity, the seminar aimed at improving the efficiency of Armenian karateka in kumite.
During five days of lessons, the 75 athletes and 25 coaches participating in the course learned tactics and high-level techniques on Shiai-Kumite. Additionally, Master Oliva worked specifically with the five Armenian athletes who were travelling to Guadalajara (Spain) to compete in the EKF Senior Championships.
The event had the participation of the president of the Armenian Karate Federation Vazgen Harutyunyan who highlighted the WKF and Olympic Solidarity’s support for the development of Karate in the region.
