The Karate 1-Youth League event in Fujairah (UAE) of this past week was graced by the attendance of a host of members of the World Karate Federation’s (WKF) Executive Committee, showing their commitment to nurturing the future of the sport. WKF President Antonio Espinós welcomed the Executive Committee members in attendance and highlighted their contribution to the progress of the sport.

The participation of the members of the WKF Executive Committee comes ahead of the upcoming Ordinary Meeting of the WKF decision-making body, scheduled for March 4 via videoconference. The event in Fujairah provided an opportunity for key decision-makers to engage with the karate community while connecting with WKF President Antonio Espinós.

Executive Committee members Rashid Al Ali, Mohamed Eldahrawy, Souleymane Gaye, Bechir Cherif, Ibrahim Al Gannas, Wolfgang Weigert, and Mohammad Al Rustam Tun Seri Setia, together with host and WKF Vice President Nasser Alrazooqi all showed their engagement to the progress of the sport with their presence at the event. 

WKF President Antonio Espinós praised the dedication of the Executive Committee members, stating, "The proactivity of our Executive Committee is crucial for the continued progress of karate worldwide. Their presence at important events like the Karate 1-Youth League demonstrates their commitment to supporting the sport’s growth and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
