“As the newly elected FASANOC President, I’m in a better position to ensure that FASANOC fulfils its mission and role according to the IOC Charter, and the FASANOC Charter and to continue to collaborate with the key sports stakeholders in Fiji so that athletes and sports participants are better served through each of the National Federations and thus ensuring that sport can be an influencing factor for positive change and to service society. I thank Karate Fiji President Ms Angela Birch and her Committee for the nomination, and the National Federations for providing me with the opportunity to now be able to serve as President of the Fiji Association of Sport and National Olympic Committee,” said Makarita Lenoa.
