The Executive Committee members of the World Karate Federation (WKF) present in Pamplona, Spain, convened unofficially at the Navarra Arena Sports Hall during the 2024 Karate World Cup.

The committee gathered to review the current state of karate worldwide, focusing on the ongoing Karate World Cup. The members present in Pamplona were updated on the latest news and had the opportunity to give their feedback on the sport's most pressing matters. 

WKF President Antonio Espinós praised the success of the Pamplona event. "Karate is continuing to grow and adapt globally. This championship marks a significant milestone for our sport, showing how we are evolving to meet the expectations of athletes and fans, and taking our sport to never-before-seen levels of excitement and interest from media and sports enthusiasts. The outstanding organization and participation here in Pamplona highlight the bright future of karate," Espinós said.

Discussions also touched on strategies to strengthen karate’s position on the international stage and ensure the sport's development at all levels. With the new season of international Karate on sight, the members of the WKF Executive Committee also reviewed the upcoming events to continue the progress of the sport around the world.
