The quest for the Karate European crowns starts Wednesday as Day 1 of #KarateZadar2024 is underway. The 2024 EKF Senior Championships kicked off on Wednesday with the best karatekas in the continent clashing to qualify for the finals.

The city of Zadar in Croatia hosts the 59^th edition of the EKF Senior Championships from May 8 to 12. The continental crowns are at stake in an adrenaline-packed event. The opening day comprises the eliminations rounds in the categories of Individual Male and Female Kata, Female Kumite +68kg, -68kg, and -61kg, and Male Kumite +84kg, -84kg, and -75kg.

Some of the top favourites and most decorated karatekas in the continent are set to make their debut in Zadar today.

What makes this event even more exciting is that the medal bouts on Saturday and Sunda will be available for LIVE streaming on the official World Karate Federation (WKF) YouTube channel.

The streams are scheduled to start on Saturday at 9.30 (GMT +1) for the morning session and at 15.30 (GMT +1) for the afternoon session, and at 9.00 (GMT +1) for the Sunday session.
