Saudi Arabia triumph on Day 3 of #Karate1Fujairah

The 2023 Karate 1-Youth League Fujairah reached its third day of the competition. Cadet categories took the stage as the representatives of Saudi Arabia dominated the different divisions at stake.

The delegation of Saudi Arabia was the big winner of the day as they took three titles. Saad Alsaif of Saudi Arabia won the crown in Cadet Kumite Male -57kg while Abdullah Alqahtani claimed the gold medal in Cadet Kumite Male -70kg. The last title for Saudi Arabia came in Cadet Kumite Male +70kg with Fazaa Alsairi winning the title.

Iran continued adding honours to their list of accomplishments in Fujairah since Zahra Rezazadeh won the gold medal in Cadet Kumite Female -54kg.

The rest of the medals in Cadet Kumite Female went to European countries. Sweden’s Agnes Nyman in Cadet Kumite Female -47kg, Elize Bauld of Scotland in Cadet Kumite Female -61kg, and Sara Tomic of Croatia in Cadet Kumite Female +61kg reached the top of the podium. 

The gold medals in the Kata divisions went to Portugal and Germany as Rita Marques of Portugal took the title in Cadet Kata Female while Wahib Jonas Abu of Germany claimed the crown in Cadet Kata Male.

Matt Rombeaux of Belgium in Cadet Kumite Male -52kg and Nazim Douaidi of Algeria in Cadet Kumite Male -63kg completed the list of gold medals in Cadet divisions.

The competition concludes Sunday with the U14 categories.
