Rwanda hosts Olympic Solidarity Karate course

Nearly 30 coaches are gathering this week in Rwanda to attend the technical Karate course level 1 being organised in the African country. The activity is held by the Rwanda Karate Federation with the cooperation of the WKF and the financial support of Olympic Solidarity through the Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee. 

Nearly 30 coaches are gathering this week in Rwanda to attend the Karate technical course level 1 being held in the African country. The activity is organised by the Rwanda Karate Federation with the cooperation of the WKF and the financial support of Olympic Solidarity through the Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee. 

The course is directed by Sensei Antonio Oliva, WKF expert and 8th Dan Black Belt. The aspiring coaches from the African nation will have the opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge with a first-class instructor thus aiming to extend the progress of the sport in the country. 

Olympic Solidarity is the body of the International Olympic Committee responsible for assisting the National Olympic Committees and the Continental Associations with their efforts for the development of sport through programmes carefully devised to match their specific needs and priorities.

Through the coordination of the WKF, Karate courses supported by Olympic Solidarity have been organised over the last three years in countries such as Georgia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Rwanda and Cyprus among others.
