Revamped WKF Referee Commission Meets in Fujairah for Massive Karate 1-Youth League Event

The WKF Referee Commission, now enhanced with new members to further elevate the standards of officiating in karate, met in full for the first time at the 2025 Karate 1-Youth League event in Fujairah (UAE). Under Chairman Javier Escalante's leadership, the commission convened at the event in Fujairah, marking a significant milestone in the sport's commitment to excellence.

The updated WKF Referee Commission comprises top professionals dedicated to ensuring fairness and consistency in karate competitions. The Karate 1-Youth League in Fujairah served as the inaugural Karate 1-Youth League event of the season and hosted an extensive referee course, with over 400 judges registered to officiate. This gathering provided an invaluable opportunity for the full WKF Referee Commission to meet, discuss, and align on key officiating protocols.
