Qualification system for ANOC World Beach Games announced

The World Karate Federation has announced the qualification system for the 2023 ANOC World Beach Games to be held in Bali (Indonesia).

Following the announcement of Bali as the host of the next edition of the ANOC World Beach Games in 2023, the WKF has disclosed the pathway for karatekas to participate in the event.

A total of 64 athletes are set to compete in the Karate competition of the 2023 ANOC World Beach Games. As it happened in the first edition of the multi-sport event in 2019, the Karate event will be limited to individual Kata categories.

Out of the 64 spots to participate in the competition, 52 will qualify through the qualification process announced today. Four athletes will be appointed to the host country and eight spots are dedicated to invitation places. Each National Olympic Committee can compete with up to four competitors, two per gender.

The Karate competition of the 2023 ANOC World Beach Games is initially scheduled for August 6 and 7, 2023.
