The male and female Kata teams of Peru, silver medals in Buenos Aires 2013, will compete this year for the gold medal.

Antonio Díaz from Venezuela and Sakura Kokumai from USA will try to defend the gold medal in male and female individual kata respectively.

In kumite male -60kg Maximiliano Larrosa from Uruguay will defend his title, as will Stella Urango from Colombia in the kumite female -55kg category.
