From August 28 to 31, Sao Paulo, Brazil, will become the epicentre of youth karate in the Americas as it hosts the prestigious Pan American Karate Federation (PKF) Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships. This event promises to be a thrilling display of talent, discipline, and Karate values, gathering the best promising karatekas from across the continent.

The championships serve as a crucial platform for young athletes to demonstrate their skills and potential on an international stage. Following last year’s highly successful event in Santiago de Chile, which saw over 900 young athletes from 24 countries compete, expectations are high for this year’s competition.

In 2023, the United States dominated the medal table, securing a total of 35 medals, including 13 golds. Brazil, the host country for this year’s event, followed closely with 32 medals, and Venezuela showcased their prowess with 28 medals. These results highlighted the fierce competition and the high standards upheld by the participants.

As Sao Paulo prepares to welcome the continent’s top young karatekas, anticipation is building for what promises to be an unforgettable event.
