With exactly one year to go, excitement is building for The World Games 2025. Set to take place in Chengdu, China, this event promises to be a highlight of next year's sports season.

Karate holds a special place in The World Games, being one of its founding sports. Since the inception of The World Games in 1981, karate has been a staple of the programme. The karate competition in Chengdu is scheduled for August 8 and 9, 2025, and is expected to draw significant attention from sports enthusiasts around the world.

The World Games 2025 will feature a total of 35 sports, and it will take place in Chengdu, known for its vibrant sports culture, where Karate’s progress in China will be showcased.

The last edition of the World Games, held in 2022 in Birmingham, USA, saw powerhouse nations Ukraine, Spain, and Egypt dominate the medal table with two gold medals each.
