Official Presentation of the 2024 Karate World Cup - National Team Championships in Madrid

The Higher Sports Council of Spain (CSD) headquarters in Madrid hosted Tuesday the official presentation of the 2024 Karate World Cup - National Team Championships. The event was attended by WKF Senior Advisor Francisco Alegrete, Spanish Karate Federation President and WKF Executive Committee Member Antonio Moreno, CSD Sports General Director Fernando Molinero, and the Councillor for Culture, Sport, and Tourism of the Government of Navarre, Rebeca Esnaola. Members of the Spanish national karate team also participated in the event.
The ceremony served as the official introduction by the Spanish Karate Federation before the government of Spain to the Karate World Cup, set to take place in Pamplona, Spain, from November 22 to 24, 2024. During the event, the official logo and poster for the championship were unveiled, marking a significant milestone in the lead-up to the competition.
The Karate World Cup - National Team Championships is a highly anticipated event, born from the division of the Karate World Senior Championships into two separate events: individual and team. This new format will bring together 80 national teams from around 50 countries, showcasing the best in national team karate on a global stage.
The 2024 Karate World Cup will be held at the Navarra Arena in Pamplona, and the magnificent venue is expected to provide a spectacular setting for this world-class competition, drawing fans and athletes from around the world.
The officials headlining the presentation expressed their enthusiasm for the event and outlined the Karate World Cup in Pamplona as the dawn of a new era for the sport since national teams will clash for the world crown in a unique and distinct tournament for the first time in the history of the sport.

The privilege and responsibility of national and regional administrators for hosting the event in Spain and the excitement of the Karate athletes ahead of the anticipated tournament were also highlighted at the presentation.
