Most massive event of the year to be held in Venice

The Karate 1-Youth League Venice will be held next week at the Palazzo del Turismo sports hall. The event will be the most massive Karate competition of the year since it will gather over 4000 athletes from 81 countries.

As has happened in the last editions of the event, the Karate 1-Youth League Venice is breaking all the participation records. Last year, the tournament was a numerous celebration of the strength of Karate at young ages, but this year the popularity of Karate is even more showcased as no less than 4021 athletes have registered to participate in the competition.

 

Not only is the #Karate1Venice set to be memorable for its number of participants, but the tournament is also the closing event of the season of international Karate and the last event of the 2023 Karate 1-Youth League, after the successful tournaments in Fujairah (UAE), A Coruña (Spain), Porec (Croatia), and Merida (Mexico).

 

At the last edition of the Karate 1-Youth League in Venice in 2022, with over 2400 athletes competing, the hosts of Italy topped the final medal table of the event with five gold medals, followed by Ukraine with four golds and Bosnia and Herzegovina with two top titles. In a showcase of the global reach of Karate at young ages, no less than 17 countries went home with gold medals.

 

As the countdown to the anticipated #Karate1Venice continues, fans get ready for the most massive Karate tournament of the year and one of the most numerous events in the history of the sport.
