“Karate’s Decades Best” is the WKF YouTube series that reviews the most spectacular bouts from the last editions of the Karate World Championships, with commentaries by some of the biggest stars of the sport.

After reliving the most thrilling Kata and Kumite of the 2010 World Championships Belgrade, now it is time to enjoy the memorable 2012 World Championships in Paris.

Episode 2 of “Karate’s Decades Best” puts the focus on the 2012 World Championships in Paris. Considered one of the most outstanding World Championships in the history of the sport, the event in the capital of France went down in history for its unforgettable bouts, for crowning some of the biggest heroes of the sport, and for its record-breaking popularity.


The 2012 Karate World Championships were the event that crowned Karate icon Rika Usami. The Japanese Kata Queen took the gold medal in Female Kata in what it is regarded as the best Kata bout of all times. The final of Female Kata in Paris 2012 featuring legend Rika Usami and local star Sandy Scordo will take the stage in Chapter 1 of Paris 2012.
