Karate's Progress in the Americas at Heart of PKF Executive Committee Meeting in Uruguay

The Executive Committee of the Pan American Karate Federation (PKF) convened during the PKF Senior Championships in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The meeting was chaired by PKF President José García Maañón, with WKF President Antonio Espinós in attendance, and served to review the state of the sport in the Americas.

Over the years, karate has seen remarkable growth and development across the continent, and the PKF Senior Championships in Punta del Este, Uruguay were a testament to those advancements.

 

WKF President Antonio Espinós praised the achievements in his remarks. "The progress of karate in the Americas has been extraordinary. The outstanding success of the event in Punta del Este highlights this progress. We must continue working hard to ensure that the progress continues as we still have a long way to go.  I want to thank the PKF and President José García Maañón for their relentless efforts in promoting and advancing our sport. Their contribution has been invaluable."

 

The Executive Committee discussed various initiatives to further support the growth of karate in the region. The goal was to ensure that the sport continues to thrive and reach new heights in the Americas.

 

The PKF Executive Committee meeting, held against the backdrop of a highly successful PKF Senior Championships, underscored the ongoing efforts to elevate karate in the Americas and highlighted the strong leadership driving these initiatives.

PKF President José García Maañón headed the discussions
