JONATHAN HORNE ENJOYS NICE WEATHER

As the weather is getting warmer in some latitudes, and while some countries are opening the restrictions to movements, athletes are taking the street to make the most of the sunnier days. “It is always nice to train outside and enjoy the sun while doing a great workout,” said World champion Jonathan Horne of Germany. And a great workout it is! It looks quite demanding as well. Let us know if you dare to try Jonathan’s workout

HIDEYOSHI KAGAWA SHOWS US CORE EXERCISES

As every Karate fan knows, the midsection is crucial for karatekas. Being the centre of most Karate movements, the core must be tuned up as much as possible to maximise the speed and strength of your punches and kicks. In this video, Japan’s Hideyoshi Kagawa teaches us a core routine to keep our midsection in perfect condition.

SALIM BENDIAB TRAINS WITH HIS SISTER

In previous episodes of “Karatekas #StayActive”, we have seen how fun it is to train with a friend, a colleague, even a pet… Salim Bendiab of France is keeping his training in the family as the 2016 European Championships bronze medallist is working out with his sister in this video.

HEROLIND NISHEVCI’S INTENSE TRAINING

Variety is the spice of life, they say. This concept also applies to workout, as Herolind Nishevci is demonstrating in this post. The athlete from Kosovo gives us a glimpse of his workout as the winner of 2018 Karate 1-Series A Salzburg combines weight training, cardio and different workout approaches.

SAMAN HEYDARI’S EXERCISES TO PERFORM AT HOME

In another example of the many ways that we can train at home, Iran’s Saman Heydari shows us his workout routine. It is very easy to maintain form and fitness if you really want to. Also, as we have seen in previous episodes of “Karatekas #StayActive”, you don’t need a lot of space to train your favourite sport.
