IRINA ZARETSKA EXPLAINS HOW TO EAT HEALTHY

In these difficult times, it is easy to fall off the healthy wagon and to indulge ourselves with – way too many – insalubrious habits. It is not only important to stay active and exercise; eating right is also essential. World champion and current Grand Winner Irina Zaretska follows the challenge of Azerbaijan’s national Olympic Committee and shows us ways to have a healthy meal!

ELENA QUIRICI PERFORMS CORE EXERCISES

If you are trying to keep in shape, you probably know by now how crucial working your core is. The mid-section is even more important for a karateka since it is the centre of all our techniques. Elena Quirici of Switzerland who is ranked in the second position in WKF World ranking is showing us her core routine; with her video, we can take a look at some of the most efficient exercises to improve our mid-section. “I like to do some core exercises before every training to get my body ready,” said the current World Championships runner-up.

LI GONG’S LIVING ROOM KICKS

In all the previous episodes of “Karatekas #StayActive” we have seen Karate athletes demonstrating that you don’t need a lot of space to practise your favourite sport. China’s Li Gong takes Karate right to her room where the two-time 2020 Karate 1-Premier League gold medallist shows us her kicking abilities. Can you follow her challenge?

SILVIA SEMERARO’S HOME TRAINING

Do you need more ideas to keep your Karate level to the max in these times of isolation and lock-down? Italy’s Silvia Semeraro shows us her training routine in this video, a set of exercises that you can do right in your living room. “All you need is a little bit of will!” as the karateka who is ranked in the fifth position in WKF World ranking states in her post. By the way, take a look at the t-shirt that she is wearing in the video. It reminds us to say, one more time, “Karate Olympic Sport!”

GUZALIYA GAFUROVA TRAINS WITH TWO “GUESTS”

In these difficult times, we all need the support of our loved ones to overcome the obstacles we may encounter. Guzaliya Gafurova of Kazakhstan trains with us in this video, and she is accompanied in her exercises by two adorable “guests”. We are sure that they are all the support she needs.
