LEILA HEURTAULT AND WHEN YOUR PET FORCES YOU TO DO EXTRA CARDIO

We have seen in previous editions of “Karatekas #StayActive” that sometimes a pet is the best training buddy. But some other times, pets are so thrilled to have us around so much these days of lock down, that they cannot contain themselves. Like Leila Heurtault’s cat. In the video below, you can see the fourth-ranked karateka in WKF World ranking showing us a routine that you can do right from your living room… while having her cat as a special guest in the video!

THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR GWENDOLINE PHILIPPE

Do you want to lose fat but you don’t know how to? No worries, France’s Gwendoline Philippe has you covered. The current U21 World champion is introducing her impressive cardio routine in this post, in which she reminds us that now we don’t have excuses not to train.

“Don’t say ‘I don't have time’ because 1, we are in confinement and 2, the session lasts only 10 minutes!”, the fiery French karateka mentions in the post.

Even more impressively, Gwendoline Philippe is performing this routine while recovering from her knee injury. So, yes, no excuses allowed!

JACQUELINE FACTOS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF BALANCE

In Karate, as in life, there is nothing more important than balance. Ecuador’s Jacqueline Factos shows us a routine to improve our balance, and yes, it seems difficult enough! “Stay positive, healthy and strong,” said the Ecuador top karateka who celebrated her birthday on April 20th. In this video, the current PKF Championships runner-up is being helped by her husband thus proving that when it comes to balance – and also in life – it is better to be helped by a special someone.
