Karate World Cup: Introducing the Competition Calendars

The Karate World Cup, the most anticipated event on the global karate calendar, is set to begin in Pamplona from November 22 to 24. This groundbreaking tournament marks a new era for the sport, bringing together “The Best Karate in the World”.

The 2024 Karate World Cup features an innovative competition format. The event begins with a Group Phase, progresses to Quarterfinals and Semifinals, and culminates in the highly anticipated Medal Matches. Eighty teams from five continents, representing the pinnacle of karate talent, will compete in four categories: Male Team Kata, Female Team Kata, Male Team Kumite, and Female Team Kumite.

The group phase splits teams into four groups of five squads each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, with the winners reaching a spot in the semifinals.  On Sunday, November 24, the medal bouts, including the bronze medal matches and finals, will crown the world’s best teams in each category.

Fans worldwide can follow the action through live streaming on the WKF YouTube channel. The Group Phase, quarterfinals and semifinals will be available LIVE on the WKF YouTube channel. The medal bouts will be broadcast on a number on TV networks around the world.  The clashes for the podium will also be available on the WKF YouTube channel in countries without TV rights.
