WKF President discusses preparation for 2020 World Championships in visit to Dubai

The project to organise a landmark edition of the Karate World Senior Championships in 2020 and new prospects for the sport were discussed during WKF President’s visit to Dubai (UAE) this week. The head of Karate’s international governing body Antonio Espinós travelled to Dubai the next Senior World Championships will take place from 17 to 22 November 2020. 

Logistics matters and preparations around the venue to host the event were among the main topics of the agenda. The celebration in Dubai of WKF’s Congress and several other additional relevant WKF’s events to be held in the Emirate city next year were also analysed. WKF President Antonio Espinos reviewed with the organising committee of the 2020 World Championships the preparations to host the big celebration of the sport in Dubai next season. WKF second vice president, AKF president and head of UAE Karate Federation Nasser Alrazooqi and WKF Senior Adviser Francisco Alegrete also participated in the meetings.

“The WKF is in constant evolution and new projects are continuously being added to our agenda. We are doing our best to maximise efforts around the bright moment of the sport while making our utmost to raise the level of our major events. I would like to thank Mr Nasser Alrazooqi for hosting us this week. I am sure that with him as a leader of the project, the 2020 Karate World Championships will be a huge success,” said WKF President Antonio Espinós.
