Karate officials visit National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan

Representatives of the World Karate Federation and the Asian Karate Federation visited the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan during the 2022 AKF Karate Championships in Tashkent.

While the first edition of the AKF Para-Karate Championships was being held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) this week, the Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan Tashxodjaev Muxtorxon Maxsudovich welcomed Karate officials at the headquarters of the Uzbekistan Paralympic Committee in Tashkent.

Headed by WKF President Antonio Espinós, the Karate delegation had AKF President and WKF Vice President Nasser Alrazooqi, WKF Vice President Bechir Cherif, Uzbekistan Karate Federation President Rashid Talipov, and Uzbekistan Karate Federation chairman Allam Mulljaev among the attendees.

The progress of Para-Karate and the success of the first edition of the Asian Para-Karate Championships were on top of the agenda of the meeting.

WKF President Antonio Espinós said:

“The development of Para-Karate is at the core of the WKF Strategic plan. We are very pleased with the growth of Para-Karate competitions, and it is very inspiring to note the excitement and great level of the first Asian Para-Karate Championships here in Tashkent.

“I want to thank Mr Tashxodjaev Muxtorxon Maxsudovich for taking the time to meet with us today. We were able to share with him our hopes and dreams to be included in the programme of the Paralympic Games Los Angeles 2028”.
