Junior Champions Shine on Day 2 of 2024 Karate 1-Youth League in Cancún

The second day of the 2024 Karate 1-Youth League in Cancún showcased the best junior talent from around the world. This tournament, the fourth event in this year’s youth series, saw intense competition as junior athletes clashed for top honours in Kata and Kumite.

Maï-Linh Bui Dominates Junior Kata Female

 

France’s Maï-Linh Bui emerged victorious in the Junior Kata Female category. She edged out Portugal’s Rita Marques with a final score of 24.10 to 23.00, demonstrating precision and grace in her performance.

 

Luigi Di Rubba Triumphs in Junior Kata Male

 

Italy’s Luigi Di Rubba claimed the top spot in the Junior Kata Male category, narrowly defeating Ecuador’s Marco Narvaez. Di Rubba’s execution earned him a score of 24.60, while Narvaez followed closely with 24.30.

 

Aida Trstenjak Wins Junior Kumite Female -48 kg

 

In the Junior Kumite Female -48 kg category, Croatia’s Aida Trstenjak secured a solid 2-0 victory over Germany’s Emily-Chiara Drehmann.
