Japanese Embassy Cup in Almere

For the third time in a row, the Dutch Karate-do Association hosted the WKF Karate1 Premier League / Lotto Dutch Open with spectacular fights in a sportive ambiance. With around 750 athletes from 55 countries, this great tournament outnumbered previous editions, took place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 March, 2014 in Almere, the Netherlands.

With around 750 athletes from 55 countries, this great tournament outnumbered previous editions, took place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 March, 2014 in Almere, the Netherlands.

 

The Dutch Karate-do Association was proud to have Mr Didier, Director of the WKF Premier League Project, Mr Espinós, WKF President, Mr Nordahl, WKF Vice-President and Mr Millerson, WKF Vice-President as their guests. The Topsportcentre Almere had 2 days of fantastic matches. 

 

At the end of the Lotto Dutch Open the battle of the Japanese Embassy Cup between Tunisia and The Netherlands took place. The Japanese Ambassador in the Netherlands, Mr Tsuji was present to enjoy this part of the tournament. Tunisia defeated the Dutch with a close finish of 3 to 2.
