HKF President becomes Vice-president of the Hungarian Olympic Committee

Dr. János Mészáros,  President of the Hungarian Karate Federation became Vice-president of the Hungarian Olympic Committee.

Dr. János Mészáros,  President of the Hungarian Karate Federation became Vice-president of the Hungarian Olympic Committee. 

The Hungarian Olympic Committee (HOC) general assembly elected Dr. János Mészáros  to vice-president of the organization on Tuesday, 12th of May. Mr. Mészáros has been leading the  non-Olympic sports branch of HOC since February.

The lawyer qualified sports leader, who is also the President of the Hungarian Karate Federation that represents all Karate forms and styles in Hungary, previously used to be an active and successful competitor, proved by 36 medals earned on different outstanding tournaments.

Dr. János Mészáros has also significant experience in tournament organization, and intends to bring the  2020 or 2022 Karate World Championships to Hungary, by the time our beloved sport probably will have been already added to the Olympic program.
