New section of Guardian Girls Global Karate Project on WKF.net
Karate’s far-reaching initiative “Guardian Girls Global Karate Project” is having a new home in cyberspace as a new section on this ambitious project has been launched on the WKF website.
Created by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Koyamada International Foundation (KIF) and the World Karate Federation (WKF), the Guardian Girls Global Karate Project is a far-reaching initiative that aims at showcasing Karate's social contribution to helping women face situations of gender violence.
The project was unveiled in Los Angeles (United States) in October 2022 at the Pilot Event. This event had an official presentation at the residence of the Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles and a women’s self-defence seminar at the Terasaki Budokan in Los Angeles as the main activities.
