Final list of karatekas to participate in World Combat Games confirmed

The World Karate Federation has confirmed the final list of participants to take part in the Karate competition of the 2023 World Combat Games.

A testament to the universality of the sport, no less than 44 countries from all five continents will be represented at the event.

The tournament, which is limited to karatekas in the Under 21 divisions, will have a host of promising stars fighting for gold. Recently proclaimed Karate 1-Premier League Dublin runner-up Ema Sgardelli of Croatia, and defending U21 World champions Cylia Oukiene of Algeria, Louiza Abouriche of Algeria, Thalya Tombe of France, Matteo Fiore of Italy, and Sanad Sufyani of Saudi Arabia will be among the frontrunners at the event.   

The Karate competition at the 2023 World Combat Games is scheduled for October 20 to 21. The biggest multi-sport event for combat sports, the World Combat Games will be held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) from October 20 to 30. No less than 16 combat sports are included in the programme.
