EKF Executive Committee ushers in new era of European Karate
The Executive Committee of the European Karate Federation met today
The Executive Committee of the European Karate Federation met today to discuss the new era of progress of Karate’s European organisation.
The meeting was held in Porec (Croatia) on the eve of the 2021 EKF Senior Championships. All the members of the EKF’s Executive Committee gathered in person in Porec with the preparations of the EKF Congress to be held Tuesday afternoon as the main topic of the agenda. The gathering started with all the attendees observing a moment of heartfelt standing silence in the memory of the late Executive Committee members Yrsa Lindquist and Esat Delihasan.
The Congress of European Karate later today is set to pave the way for a new period in the organisation as changes in the governing body are expected to be introduced. The meeting of the Executive Committee this morning represented the last gathering of the current formation of the decision-making body.
“The progress of European Karate in the last few years has been second to none. This development has been achieved thanks to the hard work of the Executive Committee and all the National Federations. As a new configuration of the Executive Committee will be elected later today, I want to thank the current members for their outstanding efforts and for the cooperation to further take European Karate to new heights” said EKF and WKF President Antonio Espinós.
Updates on the EKF Senior Championships, reports on EKF Commissions, and information around Para-Karate were also discussed.
