Female Kumite -68kg: Heydariozomcheloei meets local up-and-coming star Sombe

In the Female Kumite -68kg category, the final is set to be a clash of titans as Mobina Heydariozomcheloei of Iran faces off against local heroine Thalya Sombe of France. Sombe earned her spot in the final by upsetting favourite and star of French Karate Alizee Agier in a closely contested match, winning 1-0. On the other side, Heydariozomcheloei displayed her dominance by defeating Olympian Silvia Semeraro of Italy with an 8-4 score.


Male Kumite -67kg: Maresca and Oubaya advance to final

The Male Kumite -67kg final promises to be an intense battle between Luca Maresca of Italy and Said Oubaya of Morocco. Maresca secured his spot by defeating Ali Elsawy of Egypt 6-2, while Oubaya edged past Afeef Ghaith of Jordan with a 9-7 victory.


Female Kumite -55kg: Newcomers prevail

In the Female Kumite -55kg category, Airi Shima of Japan will face off against Mia Bitsch of Germany in the final. First-time finalist Shima advanced by defeating Barbara Perez of Venezuela 2-0. Current European U21 bronze medallist Bitsch showcased her skills with a 6-1 victory over Louiza Abouriche of Algeria.


Male Kata: Japan’s showdown in Kata

The Male Kata final will feature an all-Japanese showdown between Ryuji Moto and Kakeru Nishiyama. Moto narrowly defeated Ariel Torres of the United States 43.50 to 43.30, while Grand Winner Nishiyama secured his place by beating World champion Ali Sofuoglu of Turkiye 43.50 to 44.20.

The Female Kumite +68kg final will witness a battle between Maria Torres of Spain and Rochelle Walters of England. World Championships runner-up Torres triumphed over Lucija Lesjak of Croatia with a 5-1 score, while Walters secured her place with a hard-fought 7-6 victory against Leila Borjali of Iran.


Male Kumite +84kg: Bostandzic and Mahmoud secure final spots

In the Male Kumite +84kg final, Anes Bostandzic of Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Taha Tarek Mahmoud of Egypt. Bostandzic secured his spot by defeating Ryzvan Talibov of Ukraine 4-1, and Mahmoud advanced with a thrilling 7-7 victory over Ablay Toltay of Kazakhstan.
