One of the most thrilling duels in the history of the Karate World Championships will be reviewed in the next episode of Karate’s Decades Best. Get ready to enjoy the final bout featuring Karate legends Rafael Aghayev and Luigi Busa.

The next episode of Karate’s Decades Best will be available on WKF YouTube channel next Friday, November 6. Chapter 4 of the second series of Karate’s Decades Best will showcase the final of Male Kumite -75kg of the 2012 Karate World Championships with superstars Luigi Busa and Rafael Aghayev clashing for gold.

Karate icons Rafael Aghayev of Azerbaijan and Luigi Busa of Italy had met in the final of the 2010 World Championships Belgrade, with Rafael Aghayev taking the gold medal. Two years later, in the 2012 World Championships in Paris, the two heroes reached the final again. Who took the title then?

Fans will now have the opportunity to relive this spectacular bout. Just as it happened in chapter 2 of the first series of Karate’s Decades Best, the duel Busa vs Aghayev will be reviewed with commentaries by WKF Athletes’ Commission chairman and former World Champion Davide Benetello and WKF Athletes’ Commission member and former European champion Vicky Panetsidou together with WKF TV Commentator Billy Brennan.
