The 2021 edition of the Youth Camp is open to athletes from 10 to 20 years old and has over 500 youngsters from 36 countries registered.

With all the COVID-19 countermeasures ensuring the safety of competitors and staff members, the event is expected to showcase the tremendous popularity of Karate at young ages. Due to the growing acceptance of the event, the 2021 WKF Youth Camp moved its base from Umag to Porec, also in Croatia.

The event started with the ceremony of the introduction of the instructors and with the presentation chaired by Croatian Karate Federation president Davor Cipek. This year the sessions will be headed by former World champion Ivan Leal of Spain and current European Championships medallist Veronika Miskova of the Czech Republic.

The city of Porec which hosted the 2021 edition of the European Senior Championships in May will also welcome the second Karate 1-Youth League tournament of the season from July 2 to 4.
