The Asian Karate Federation (AKF) Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships will bring together the continent's best young karatekas in Manila, Philippines, from August 23 to 25. This prestigious event promises to showcase the exceptional talent and dedication of Asia's rising stars in karate.

The AKF Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships have a history of highlighting the future of karate in Asia. The previous edition, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, was a thrilling competition where Japan emerged as the top nation, securing 23 medals, including 14 golds. Kazakhstan followed closely with 24 medals, while Iran took home 27 medals.

This year's event will see athletes from various Asian countries compete across different age categories: cadet (14-15 years), junior (16-17 years), and U21 (18-20 years). Each category will feature a range of kumite and kata events, ensuring a diverse and exciting competition.

Manila, known for its vibrant culture and warm hospitality, is an ideal host for this major sporting event. The championships not only provide a platform for young karatekas to compete at an international level but also foster friendship and cultural exchange among participants.
