23rd Mediterranean Senior Karate Championships

A few months after the World University Championships, Bar (Montenegro) will welcome on 13 & 14 of September 2014 another major competition in Karate: the 23rd Mediterranean Senior Karate Championships.

A few months after the World University Championships, Bar (Montenegro) will welcome on 13 & 14 of September 2014 another major competition in Karate: the 23rd Mediterranean Senior Karate Championships.
The first edition was staged in September 1987 and since then these championships are organised by the Mediterranean Karate Federation Union (MKFU) every year at the end of September, alternatively for Senior and for Cadet/Junior/Under 21 categories.
The MKFU was founded in 1986 and is composed of the official National Karate Federations of every Country in the Mediterranean basin affiliated to the Continental Unions of Africa, Asia and Europe.
In recent years, participation has become stabilized around 200 competitors and 13 countries, making these championships a milestone for athletes in their preparation for the World Championships.

10:00-11:00 Kata individual elimination and repechage M/F
11:00-14:00 Kumite individual elimination and repechage female -50kg;-55kg;-61kg & male -60kg;-67kg;-75kg
15:30-17:30 Kumite individual elimination and repechage female-68kg;+68kg & male -84kg;+84kg
17:30-18:00 Opening ceremony
18:00-19:30 Final M/F kata and kumite and medal ceremony

SUNDAY 14 SEPTEMBER 2014 (SC "TOPOLICA")
10:00-11:00 Kata team M /F elimination and repechage
11:00-13:00 Kumite team M/F elimination and repechage
13:00-16:00 Final M/F kata and kumite team
16:00-16:30 Medal ceremony

The congress will also take place the day before the start of the competition
