The Sportaccord Congress in Dubai concluded its works with great success. The WKF President and Sportaccord EC member, Mr. Espinos, presented to the Congressmen the progress in the preparations of the Combat Games that will takce place in Beijing next August.
Mr. Espinos, who is also the Chairman of the Combat Games Commission, informed the members of the Congress on the last adjustments of the first Sportaccord competition event in which the best competitors of the 13 most popular martial arts in the world will compete all togetthe for the first time. As Mr. Espinos stressed "the best 80 competitors of the world from each sport will compete for the first time in the same period in that event and we expect that the total participation will reach about 1.600 persons. It is the biggest event ever held on the planete concerning martial sports".
