Between the 13th and 15th of May WKF co- organized with the Palestinian Karate Federation (PKF) a Kata and Kumite Referee Course in Nablus, Palestine as part of the WKF Development Programme. The WKF RC secretary Mr. Javier Escalante was the expert selected to be in charge of the activity. The event was supported by the city's Mayor, the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports.
Around 50 officials attended the theory and practical examination. The event was very well organized by the Palestinian Karate Federation.
The President of the Palestinian Karate Federation, Mr. Mohammed Al Bakri, expressed, on behalf of the PKF, his gratitude for the effort made by WKF in order to increase the quality of the refereeing in the country. The WKF wants also to express its gratitude to the PKF for the efforts taken to have everything in place for the smooth running of the event. This first WKF event in Palestine has been a milestone in the WKF history, and WKF looks forward to continue in close collaboration with the PKF and all the Arab Federations.
